Andrew Wakefield is a progressive bluegrass guitarist, songwriter, and singer based in Chimney Rock, North Carolina. Career highlights include opening for and performing with Molly Tuttle and Ketch Secor, performing at Blue Ox Fest, AVL Fest, radio spins at FM stations around the country, performing at WDVX Knoxville's live radio show the Blue Plate Special, and being a Thompson Guitars featured artist. Bluegrassish, his debut album, has reached 70,000 Spotify plays. A cover of White Freightliner Blues garnered 20,000 views on his flatpicking-centered YouTube channel. Andrew has been written about in The Bluegrass Standard, Relix Magazine, Asheville's Mountain Xpress, and Knoxville Voyager.

A knack for song-craft, some flatpicking wizardry, pouring soul into every live performance, and an enthusiastic local fanbase have solidified Andrew as a southeast bluegrass fixture, while word of his talent continues to spread farther. Andrew brings to the American roots music community something always needed: a sound and style of his own. He doesn't have a PR agent so this is actually him(me) typing all this, which feels kind of narcissistic and awkward. Oh, well.
